Job Description:

This position will be responsible for the availability, performance, monitoring, and incident response of our SaaS offerings within L3Harris’s Autonomous Intelligence Solutions (AIS) group. The role scope includes implementing operational improvements in availability, latency, performance, efficiency, change management, monitoring, incident response, patch management and capacity. This position is hands-on, requiring the ability to provide first level system and network support and problem resolution identification. A combination of technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive mindset are crucial for success in this role.

  • Participate in a development team that uses agile methodologies combined with mature software practices and a technology-supported development infrastructure

  • AWS administration & configuration proficiency; CLI/SDK familiarity

  • Support activities involving networking, firewalls, and security groups

  • Leverage cloud architecture and apply site reliability principles to support SaaS systems

  • Drive security and compliance aspects for services in accordance with government customer compliance requirements (i.e. NIST RMF)

  • Full-stack troubleshooting skills across network, application, security, Identity, OS, Containers, on-prem, and distributed services layers

    Qualifications:

  • Top Secret Clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information technologies with 9 years of experience; or 7+ years relevant experience with a Graduate Degree. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience in a STEM function.

  • Linux power user (NFS, autofs, systemd, VNC)

  • Experience with development environment support:

  • VS Code and extensions

  • Git

  • File/Package repository familiarity (e.g. Artifactory)

  • Support both low and high-side development

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience with Code and plugins

  • Experience with Postgres databases

  • Experience with sshd / OpenSSH server process

  • Working knowledge of PKI and ability to debug cert issues

  • Ansible and bash scripting experience

  • Proficient with developing in Amazon Web Services (AWS) (over 1 year developing in AWS)

  • Experience with containers and container management (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)

  • Experience with Atlassian Tools

  • Good organizational skills, excellent problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to work with a large development team
