Exciting opportunity to join a well-established and dynamic Pediatric Hospitalist Group in the amazing Pacific Northwest!

Here is a message from our pediatric hospitalist team about the position:

The Pediatric Hospitalists at PeaceHealth Sacred Heart RiverBend in Springfield, OR care for newborns, children, and adolescents in a dedicated pediatric unit providing acute and intermediate level care. Pediatric Hospitalists also provide moderate sedation services and support a regional infusion program on our unit. Our team works closely with dedicated Pediatric Surgeons and sub-specialists providing consultation and co-management support when necessary. For patients requiring critical care services, Telemedicine consultation is available 24 hours a day with Pediatric Intensivists in nearby Portland, OR who support stabilization and transfer as needed.

We care for well newborns in our delivery center which averages 2,500 deliveries per year. We also provide care for neonates who are >36 weeks gestation requiring transitional NICU care including respiratory, metabolic and feeding conditions. A skilled Newborn Resuscitation Team and dedicated Neonatologist group are available for newborns requiring resuscitation or long term NICU care. Pediatric Hospitalists are not required to attend deliveries.

We cover the hospital 24/7 with two hospitalists during the day shift and one during the overnight shift. Our highly skilled and tight-knit pediatric team includes dedicated pediatric nurses, child life specialists, registered dieticians, clinical diabetes educators, pediatric pharmacists, and speech language pathologists, among many others.

We offer the unique opportunity to practice Pediatrics Hospital Medicine as a member of an outstanding group, with a competitive compensation system, full malpractice coverage, relocation assistance, great benefits and much, much more. Pediatric Hospitalists often provide advice and consultation via telephone to outside Emergency Departments and Primary Care Providers accepting transfers from across the region.
