Klosterman Baking Company Facilities Engineering Supervisor- 2nd or 3rd shift in Springfield, Ohio

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and direct work activities performed by engineering staff

  • Maintain productivity while following rules and guidelines set by the Company/Union Collective Bargaining Agreement

  • Ensure employees adhere to Safety and Best Work Practices including GMP, LOTO, Hot Work, etc

  • Collaborate with representatives from other departments to achieve the best possible outcome for the company when issues arise

  • Communicate effectively through various channels regarding safety, productivity, material handling and elevate concerns in a clear, quick, and concise manner

  • Review preventative maintenance schedules and identify ways to increase efficiency and reduce unscheduled downtime

Metrics Measured as a Part of this Position:

  • Preventative Maintenance completion rate by Engineering Technicians (daily, weekly, monthly)

  • Scheduled vs. Unscheduled downtime and costs associated

Core Competencies:

• Experience with 3 phase and low voltage power including 480vac

• Experience with fasteners, precision measurement tools, gearboxes, bearings, rotating equipment, and assembly/disassembly of machinery

• Experience Welding and Fabrication

• Experience with photo eyes, prox. switches, etc.

• Experience with broad range of hand tools

• Strong teamwork capabilities

• Familiar with general plumbing using PVC, Copper, stainless steel, and black iron pipe

• Able to push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds and maneuver in tight places (in and around machinery)

• Preventive maintenance to plant equipment, machinery and facilities Commented [AL1]: Capitalize Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair equipment and machinery for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or other problems using schematics, drawings, manuals, multi-meters, etc.

• Troubleshoot AC and DC electrical controls and circuits

• Understand PLC operations and troubleshoot from a nonprogrammer level.

• Perform routine tasks, such as set-ups, cleaning, lubricating, and starting equipment

• Basic proficiency using Microsoft Office applications

• Operate forklifts and scissor lift equipment

Requirements

Education & Certifications For This Role:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

• At Least 3 years working in an industrial environment

• Experience in Management and Supervision
