SELECTTECH SERVICES CORPORATION Electronics Technician in Springfield, Ohio

The Electronics Technician will modify, repair, and improve existing electronic products, equipment, and controls and will assist in developing new or updated electronic systems, components, or production. Will perform assignments at SelectTech's Springfield facilities that are not completely standardized or prescribed, but receives initial instructions, equipment requirements, and advice from supervisor or engineer as needed. Work is reviewed for technical adequacy or conformity with instructions. Will be responsible for following all company safety policies and regulations. Essential Functions Plans layout, installs, and repairs wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment, such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels, fastening in place with screws or bolts, using hand tools and power tools Repairs, installs, and inspects electronics or electronic systems as directed through verbal or written directions, diagrams, drawings, or specifications. Maintains and makes necessary operating adjustments to the organizations electronic systems. Determines material or replacement needs and a logical method for repair; takes appropriate action to meet those needs and makes repairs. Ensures local, state, and national electrical codes are followed and proper materials are used throughout electrical systems. Education and Experience: High School Diploma Electronics Technician Certification or comparable certification is a plus, but not required 2 years of similar experience Additional Eligibility Qualifications: A willingness to learn is a must. Mechanically inclined with the ability to use hand and automated tools Database maintenance with Excel preferred, but not required Ability to read/understand computer generated prints Knowledge of Mil-Spec components preferred, but not required Due to Federal Contracting requirements, applicant must be a US Citizen. May be required to qualify for a Secret Security Clearance, if necessary per contract requirements Physical Demands This job operates in a manufacturing environment. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit; stand; walk; bend; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
