State-of-the-art casting facility is seeking a talented Controls Engineer to join our team and drive automation across our manufacturing processes.

$75K to $85K depending on experience

Job Summary: As a Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, programming, and integrating industrial control systems to streamline and optimize our metal casting operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement cutting-edge automation solutions that enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.

Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems for automated casting processes - Program and configure industrial robots, motion controllers, and vision systems - Integrate control systems with existing manufacturing equipment and IT infrastructure - Troubleshoot and maintain control systems, ensuring optimal performance - Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to identify areas for improvement - Stay updated with the latest industrial automation technologies and best practices

Required Qualifications: - Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent experience - 3+ years of experience as a Controls Engineer in manufacturing or automation environments - Proficiency in programming languages such as Ladder Logic, C++, Python, or similar - Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus) - Knowledge of control system design principles and industry standards (e.g., IEC 61131-3) - Experience with industrial robots, vision systems, and motion control applications - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills - Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in the metal casting or foundry industry - Knowledge of process control and instrumentation systems - Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and methodologies - Certification in industrial automation or control systems
