Nexstar Media Group Executive News Producer in Springfield, Missouri

The Nexstar newsroom in Springfield, Missouri is looking for an Executive Producer who can take our coverage to the next level. The successful candidate must have a proven track record as a newscast producer. Candidates must have strong leadership skills and news judgment, the ability to showcase important stories, and know how to win “Breaking News and Weather”.

The EP is a communicator, a collaborator, and a decision maker. You’ll coach producers on showcasing and writing. You’ll collaborate with experienced anchors and meteorologists. You’ll make decisions on rundown changes and reporter story changes. The EP will work closely with the News Director and Assistant News Director to set and uphold the high standards for how newscasts are produced and executed.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of the rundown and scripts

  • Helping to showcase lead stories

Requirements & Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree Journalism
