Daily Duties

  • Responsible for leading the Product Engineering & development group in the NPD, reverse engineering, and providing customer technical support for engine design, turbochargers, and fuel systems modification.

  • Develop and launch products according to APQP methodologies.

  • Direct multiple project timelines while ensuring customer requirements are being met.

  • Evaluate, implement, and monitor processes and operating systems for manufacturing engines, turbochargers, and engine components.

  • Perform research and development work on new products or additions to existing products.

  • Provide fallout estimates on all components of the product being researched to remanufacture viability and related costing issues.

  • Assist in other disciplines during all phases of new product cost quotations, development, pilot runs, and introduction to production departments

  • Administer and work closely with the production and quality departments to provide a safe working environment and a quality product.

  • Provide strong department leadership and communicate a strategic vision for the organization.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • BS/BA Degree in Engineering or a combination of education and work experience.

  • 5 + year of engineering leadership preferably in a product design/development capacity

  • Able to make judgments and decisions considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.

  • Must be able to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
