Amergis Residential Counselor- $23/ HR in Springfield, Massachusetts

Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks multiple Residential Counselors to be part of a Therapeutic Day Program in Springfield. Responsibilities include a variety of recreational duties, implementing treatment plans, modeling/teaching life and social skills, and transporting youth. Other duties include completion of daily logs and assisting with the daily program organization. Candidates must have experience with both verbal and physical de-escalation specifically, with youths that experience extreme behaviors.

Start Date: 6/3/2024

Salary: $23/hr

Openings:

SU 9:30A-10P; M/TU/W 1:30P-10P (38 hours)

SU 10:30A-11P; M/TU/W 2:30P-11P (38 hours)

W/TH/F 2:30P-11P; SA10:30A-11P (38 hours)

SA 11P-11A; SU 10:30P-8:30A; M/TU 11P-8:30A (40 hours)

W/TH 11P-9A; F 11P-11A (32 hours)

Qualifications:

*Candidates must have experience with both verbal and physical de-escalation specifically, with youths that experience extreme behaviors.

  • Must have an active driver’s license and a clean driving record

  • Will NOT consider anyone who applied directly to them in the past

  • Prefer candidates who have experience working with children with trauma backgrounds and/or severe behavioral issues.

  • Must be at least 21 years old

  • Valid driver’s license in active status, with reliable transportation and a clean driving record
