Baystate Health Nights Registered Nurse (RN) BMC Inpatient Pre-Op PACU in Springfield, Massachusetts

Our BMC Inpatient Pre-Op & PACU offers support and comes fully equipped to help you do what YOU do best, provide care for our patients!

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:

  • Pre-Op & PACU for Adults and Pediatrics

  • This unit has a highly experienced team that prepares and recovers adult and pediatric patients for the operating rooms.

  • Our unit supports the main level 1 trauma OR at Baystate Medical Center which includes twenty four operating rooms.

  • This is a high acuity, fast paced, patient focused, and collaborative environment.

SCHEDULE:

  • Full-Time, 12 hour shifts, 36hrs per week.

  • Department Start Times: Overnights

  • Weekend Requirement: 1 weekend every 4 weeks.

  • On-Call: up to 1 week night on-call 10p-630am every 3 weeks, don’t work the day going into call, call assignment rotates so you there would be weeks that you would not be assigned a call shift at all.

  • Holiday: 1 to 2 Holidays per year. Either working or on-call (rotates when working vs call).

  • Orientations: 6-8weeks in PACU, off orientation for a while and working to solidify PACU experience. Then start Pre-Op orientation. Early start times when orienting to Pre-Op.

  • Springfield, MA

Pay:

  • Experienced RN (1+ years of RN Licensure) $42.66-$65.00

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Successfully passed Board of Registration in Nursing Examination and is licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS CPR certification required.

  • Experience: Minimum 1 year RN experience required.

  • Education: AND required; BSN preferred.
