M.S. Walker has an exciting opportunity for a Part-Time Merchandising Assistant in the Springfield/Berkshires area! This position offers an ideal opportunity for anyone interested in learning the wine and spirts industry, while getting excellent exposure to sales, operations and client relationship management. If you're a strong communicator, have incredible worth ethic, and would rather be moving than sitting behind a desk - this might be the job for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Regularly travel to meet with list of accounts in territory to determine possible and/or scheduled merchandising needs

  • Meet delivery trucks of customer accounts to assist in unloading of the product

  • Stock shelves with received M.S Walker products

  • Maximize customer interest and sales levels by displaying products appropriately

  • Place proper point of sale materials on merchandise items in-store

  • Originate display ideas or follow suggestions or schedule of Corporate Merchandising Director

  • Construct or assemble prefabricated display properties from wood, fabric, glass, paper, and plastic

  • Report to management regarding inventory levels, marketing and sales trends, and customer feedback

  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

What You Bring to the Role:

  • Outstanding communication skills

  • Motivation, independence, and eagerness to learn

  • Demonstrated strong decision-making, customer service and relationship management skills

  • Experience with retail operations and visual displays preferred

  • Knowledge of wine and spirits helpful

  • Ability to lift and move product of up to 45lbs regularly

  • Minimum of High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Additional Details:

  • Frequent driving within assigned territory required
