Job Description: As the Manager of Financial Reporting, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial statements and reporting processes. You will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of financial statements, conducting technical accounting research as needed, and leading audit preparation efforts. This role will also involve managing monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities, as well as gathering information required for annual tax filings.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.

  • Conduct technical accounting research to address complex accounting issues and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Lead audit preparation activities, including coordinating with external auditors and providing necessary documentation.

  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes, ensuring deadlines are met and procedures are followed.

  • Gather information and support documentation required for annual tax filings, collaborating with internal and external tax advisors as needed.

  • Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

  • Provide guidance and supervision to financial reporting staff, fostering their professional development and ensuring high-quality work output.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and drive process improvements within the finance function.

  • Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards and regulations, and assess their potential impact on the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in public accounting, with significant time spent in auditing roles.

  • Supervisory experience, with a proven ability to lead and develop teams.

  • CPA certification preferred.

  • Strong understanding of GAAP principles and technical accounting standards.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite.
