MassMutual Event/Conference Consultant in Springfield, Massachusetts

THE OPPORTUNITY

As an Event/Conference Consultant you will provide a consistent planning approach across all MMFA field events by consulting with MMFA business areas on the program agendas, registration, mobile app, budgets, communication, collateral, promotion & survey need. You will manage the calendar for MMFA internal and field-facing events, conferences and industry functions. You will provide program management and execution of the scheduled meeting/event. You will serve as the liaison between the MMFA business area and Event & Conference Management (ECM) to create a consistent experience at MMFA conferences. You will also manage the distribution of tickets to MassMutual Financial Advisors for MassMutual sponsored sporting events.

THE TEAM

This team consists of Event Conference Consultants as well as a Communications Consultant. It is motivated by collaboration within the team and amongst their business partners. It is also motived by the clients when they receive the best experience possible while attending a MassMutual recognition event or business meeting. This team started as the liaison between the business (MMFA) and the Event & Conference management team. Its focus is to provide a consistent experience for MassMutual's field force, most specifically with the agenda, content, and speakers while they attend any MassMutual meeting/event. They bring a variety of different skillsets and competencies to provide this overall experience.

THE IMPACT

  • Manage all attendee management needs for our top recognition and learning events. This includes updating conference databases and providing reports for registration, nametags, rosters, invitations and attendance. (MM Competency: Agility, Communication, Development)

  • Manage smaller business programs/meetings, which would include consulting with our business partners on their meeting requirements, managing the meeting budget, the agenda, and content for the registration site and the mobile app, communications, promotions and post surveys.   • Mange the administrative tasks aligned with our sponsored Industry associations such as following the defined process to manage certifying letters for qualification and our MassMutual sponsored company dinners. (MM Competency: Communication, Development)

  • Manage the MMFA distribution of tickets and final attendance tracking at MassMutual sponsored sporting events. (MM Competency: Communication, Resilience, Development, Agility, Inclusion)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associates Degree

  • Proven, Strong written and communication skills

  • Proven, Strong analytical and organizational skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Advanced Experience in Excel

  • Solid, proven negotiation/influencing skills

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Good project management/program management skills

  • Ability to be proactive, anticipate and problem solve quickly

  • Ability to work with a variety of behavioral styles & levels of management
