Viability Accounts Payable Specialist in Springfield, Massachusetts

**$500 sign on bonus ($250 at the completion of first week of training and $250 after successfully completion of first 90 days) **

Position: Accounting Specialist/Accounts Payable – Full Time

Location: Springfield, MA

Rate of Pay: $20.00 per hour

Hours: 40 hours per week

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm

Summary:

  • The Accounting Specialist/Accounts Payable position is responsible for timely processing of invoices, verifying proper invoice approval, vendor management, payment processing via check or ACH, and resolving issues with vendors. This position interacts with vendors, directors, program staff, and colleagues to ensure internal processes are followed and that invoices are being processed and paid timely. Individuals with administrative, accounting, and bookkeeping experience strongly encouraged to apply!

    Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma and two to three years professional experience, or an associates degree with one to two years of professional experience.

  • Must have ability to work independently and as an effective team member.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as policy and procedure manuals.

    Requirements:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in data entry utilizing accounting software, to include Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, databases, and email essential.
