We are accepting applications for a working Utility Construction Foreman in Springfield, IL. The Ideal candidate must have 2+ years of responsibility as a Foreman for stormwater utilities or water/wastewater, industrial, or commercial sites. Candidate must have strong knowledge and understanding of plan sets and structural specs, heavy equipment operations and OSHAs safety regulations. Your Responsibilities as a Utility Construction Foreman: Repair post construction stormwater infrastructure, concrete structures, underground utilities and stormwater basins . Maintain equipment trailer and service vehicles. Operate hand-held, power tools and heavy construction equipment (e.g. skid loader, backhoe, excavator). Train and supervise construction technicians. Travel is Monday-Friday, as needed. Manage project activities, budgets, documentation and timelines. Apply construction and regulatory compliance techniques. Document field observations. Account for and manage project materials and equipment. Conduct site inspections. Ensure safe performance of project work. Actively develop your own career path. Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and manage staff Experience with operation of heavy construction equipment (e.g. skid loader, backhoe, excavator), power tools and concrete hand tools. Prior experience with repair and construction of stormwater infrastructure, concrete structures, rebar and concrete finishing, underground piping and detention/retention basins Able to perform manual labor, Lift and carry 60 pounds, work in confined spaces and under inclement weather conditions. Knowledge of stormwater & sediment and erosion control. Thorough understanding of safe work practices in accordance with OSHA regulations.
