SUMMARY: The position engages daily with team members, suppliers and internal teams throughout the entire organization in the fulfillment of all business travel and meetings. Position responsibilities includes detailed internal communication, resources and processes are developed and documented for team members; and that internal teams and business needs are managed and aligned in accordance to business practices and purposes. The position requires heavy data analysis relating to travel patterns and needs, significant supplier analysis for purposes of sourcing and contracting, and significant analysis relating to internal reporting including but not limited to compliance and relocation.

This position is responsible for external technology including that used for booking of travel including administration, performance and effectiveness. The position is required to provide guidance and solutions to all areas and levels of the company on a variety of travel needs including company policies on travel and those relating or involving business travel.

Other duties include: reconciling travel expenses and providing information and detail as needed to business units and shared services; audit travel expenses billed to Tyson. This position will also be a contributor to the creative and content management of the internal webpage.

REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION: Requires broad knowledge in a general professional or technical field normally acquired through four years of college resulting in a Bachelor s degree or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE: 5 plus years active travel management travel operations or travel procurement experience with a deep understanding of the travel industry including policies processes tools and best practices. 1 plus years online booking tool experience preferably GetThere.

COMPUTER SKILLS: Advanced computer skills specifically excel.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Proficiency with travel data analysis and business process design and the capacity to balance strategic thinking and planning with tactical implementation and execution. An understanding of a centralized travel and meetings management program with a demonstrated ability to handle multiple assignments and respond quickly to changing business needs and priorities. Strong analytics superior communications and presentation skills

TRAVEL: 1-5 domestic trips per year.
