American Battery Solutions has a full-time opening for a Shipping Coordinator in Springboro, Ohio. Job Summary The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for all the shipments of parts from the warehouse and manages all aspects of the shipping process. The Shipping Coordinator prepares quotes and invoices while overseeing shipping, responding to complaints or questions from customers, providing shipping instructions, and meeting all DOT hazmat requirements. Responsibilities * Select appropriate carriers/truckers to meet operational needs, both domestic and international, and complete necessary shipping documentation per DOT hazmat requirements. * Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet the DOT hazmat requirements. * Assess and resolve issues relating to transportation, customer problems, import and export, and logistics systems. * Provide comprehensive logistical support daily for outbound shipments, including verifying safety procedures and overseeing quality assurance. * Ensure carriers, shipping, and other logistical areas comply with safety standards and legal requirements. * Maintain detailed and accurate logistics data for daily, weekly, and quarterly reports including usage metrics, customer issues and resolutions, training records, work logs, and schedule documentation. * Delivery of Service Parts Requests * Verify Parts Labels, Part number and revision. * Pick, pack and ship Parts Orders. * Pull parts from the production floor to the shipping dock. * Check in Returns of Parts orders. * Facilitate shipping of supplier returns. * Facilitate interplant / General Shipping. * Adhere to federal and state regulations. * Adhere to all company policies, processes, and procedures. * Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned. * Predictable and reliable attendance. Position Qualifications * High School diploma or GED required. * Minimum of two (2) years logistics, retail, or customer service experience required. * ERP system software knowledge required; PLEX is preferred. * Hazmat certification is preferred or must be able to obtain multimodal hazardous material shipper certifications. * Forklift certification is preferred. * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
