HP Inc. Software Operations Business Planner in Spring, Texas

Job Summary

This role is responsible for developing and implementing effective business plans to maximize identified opportunities and achieve performance goals within the organization. The role leads the overall business planning, metrics, and resource management activities across the Personal Systems Software organization. The role works with internal and external partners to manage partners, contracts, software procurement, and other key business initiatives in support of PS Software's long-term visions and strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Manages complex internal / external partner relationships in support of the organization's goals.

  • Manages data and business analysis to develop business plans and make recommendations.

  • Works independently to construct strategic plans and execution models.

  • Defines the metrics required to measure business performance, compares actual data to forecasted values, and develops the process for identifying and addressing performance gaps.

  • Identifies, cultivates, and fosters new business opportunities and relationships to increase revenue and enhance profitability.

  • Contributes to priority projects with complex analysis and assists in developing recommendations.

  • Works closely with business leaders to develop business plans based on historical and forecasted data and reports.

  • Develops go-forward business plan recommendations based on potential risks and returns.

  • Works with operations teams to identify opportunities for optimization, automation, and simplification.

  • Ensures the organization meets business continuity goals and requirements

Education & Experience Recommended

  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.

  • Typically has 4-7 years of work experience, preferably in strategy, planning, operations, market research, or a related field or an advanced degree with 3-5 years of work experience.
