Group Summary

About the Role

Responsible for maintaining safe working conditions and following all Safety Rules at SHSS. Follows all Plant Standards, and ensures compliance to the SHSS employee handbook along with all SHSS policies and procedures. Responsible to ensure they are aware of the correct and safe way to operate their equipment, follows all ODS instructions and complies with Company standards on the use of personal protective equipment. Responsible for recognizing and rectifying unsafe working conditions and maintains excellent housekeeping (5S) at SHSS.

Ensure that all production departmental objectives and activities participated in at SHSS are aligned to the Magna Employee Charter and Magna Corporate Constitution.

Adheres to Technical System Procedures, Quality instructions and compliance to all SHSS policies and procedures.

Responsible to perform all duties assigned relative to the assembly of seats and seat components. Responsible for completing job tasks within the cycle time allotted to each task.

Performs inspection and repair as required ensuring that all production meets customer standards.

Perform special projects in support of the organizations business objectives.

Other projects and duties as assigned.

Your Responsibilities

Ensure all safety and non-safety plant rules and regulations are followed.

Ensure adherence to established quality and housekeeping standards.

Respond immediately to items brought to his/her attention with respect to hazards, defects or non-compliance issues.

Taking appropriate corrective action when substandard performance is observed.

Who we are looking for

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education; minimum completion of grade 12, Post secondary education preferred. Minimum 3 years working experience with one (1) year of related experience in a manufacturing facility.

Able to perform all assembly operations in the line rotation at line speed while upholding quality standards and performs all required repairs to components and seats.

Good organizational skills, ability to work independently and on a team. Willing to work shifts and overtime as required and ability to read and write English. An energetic and diligent work ethic.

Good understanding of SHSS assembly operations.
