POSITION SUMMARY:

The IT Engineering Systems Product Manager will be primarily responsible for system selections, implementations, and change management for systems and processes that support the manufacturing quoting/pricing, production configuration (CPQ), and product engineering.

This full time position would support the Sales, Marketing, Quality, Metallurgy, Process Engineering and other functions that support the Configure/Price/Quote (CPQ) processes. This position would have the knowledge and understanding to translate functional business requirements into implementable manufacturing technical solutions.

This position works onsite at our Spring Grove, IL corporate office.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Experience with Configure/Price/Quote (CPQ) systems coupled with CAD/CAM in a highly diverse manufacturing or job shop environment

  • Hands-on experience managing activities associated with supply chain, procurement, inventory, pricing, costing or engineering projects

  • Develop custom quote/project management tools

  • Work with Solidworks, CRM tools, process workflow tools, ERP applications

  • Manage cross-functional teams for cost accounting and lean initiatives for engineering, sales, and marketing professionals

  • Serve as a functional trusted business partner to deliver thought leadership and overall global designs that eliminate local optimization of those functions

  • Lead the identification of user requirements and deliver technology capabilities

  • Lead change management as part of the implementation process

  • Stay focused on projects that are aligned to company key performance indicators such as quality, on-time delivery, cost reduction, capacity improvement, and eliminating customer pain points

  • Provide business and process owners the information required for them to make educated decisions regarding system changes, including defining overall scope, work effort, weighing the risk to change, the time to change, and the benefits gained by the change

  • Participate in the scoping, design, testing, training and implementation of the next generation of quote through order generation workflow and technology solutions

  • Learn and apply deep functional understanding and thought leadership in the area of quote and order generation systems technology solutions

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Manufacturing experience 3- 5 years – Strongly preferred

  • Knowledge of Solidworks, CRM tools, process workflow tools, ERP applications and Configure/Price/Quote (CPQ) tools.

  • Product configuration systems experience preferred

  • Project or Program Management experience

  • Engineering IT Program Management

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Information Technology, Engineering or Related Field with emphasis in Mathematics, Science or Business
