Job Overview: As a Haul Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in the transportation of materials within the mining site, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of copper ore and other materials. The ideal candidate will have experience operating large haul trucks, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work in a dynamic mining environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Safe Operation of Haul Trucks:

  • Operate haul trucks to transport copper ore and other materials within the mining site.

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

  • Material Transportation:

  • Load, transport, and unload materials according to project specifications and production schedules.

  • Communicate effectively with equipment operators and supervisors to coordinate material movement.

  • Equipment Maintenance:

  • Conduct pre-shift inspections on haul trucks and report any issues to the maintenance team.

  • Ensure routine maintenance tasks are performed to keep equipment in optimal condition.

  • Safety Compliance:

  • Follow safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.

  • Participate in safety meetings and training sessions as required.

  • Record Keeping:

  • Maintain accurate records of material transported, distances covered, and fuel consumption.

  • Report any incidents or accidents promptly.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Haul Truck Driver in a mining or heavy equipment environment.

  • Knowledge of safe haul truck operation practices.

  • Ability to work in a physically demanding and outdoor environment.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

Education and Certifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • MSHA experience preferred.
