DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Social Worker 1, you will be responsible for providing a range of professional social work services, support, and interventions for residents of the Southeastern Veterans' Center. This work involves interacting with residents, residents' representatives, and clients to provide and coordinate needed social services. You will be required to have a thorough knowledge of the guidelines utilized by the State and Federal regulatory agencies that license and or regulate nursing homes and personal care facilities. You will have the opportunity to consult with your supervisor if barriers or disagreements occur when providing the needed services.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: A bachelor's or master's degree in social work or social welfare. Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

You must be able to perform essential job functions. Legal Requirements: A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening. This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
