DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will perform various skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the repair and maintenance of buildings, grounds, machinery, and equipment at the Southeastern Veterans' Center. Some of the duties of this position include general carpentry, repairing and installing items to keep buildings updated, painting, masonry work, and operating a variety of tools.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, rotating schedule working every other weekend, with 30-minute lunch. Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1; or Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.

Special Requirement: This position requires possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C Driver's License. Additional Requirement: You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Preferred Qualifications (not required): Experience in commercial maintenance of buildings and equipment Experience in commercial carpentry, electrical, plumbing Experience with 3-phase wiring to include emergency generators, Automatic Transfer Switches, switch gears and 3-phase panels Experience in the maintenance and repair of refrigeration and/or HVAC systems Experience with domestic hot water mixing valves, recirculating loops, aqua stats and instantaneous water heaters Experience with provisions of Life Safety Codes and Uniform Construction Code (UCC) as it relates to repairs of buildings Structural experience in the maintenance or repair of buildings Experience in the maintenance or repair of buildings at a long-term care facility Legal Requirements: A conditional offer of employment will require satisfactory completion of a medical examination and drug screening. This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
