This may be the career you have been looking for! The Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, Southeastern Veterans' Center is searching for a Human Resource Assistant 2 to join our team. We are a long-term care facility located in Spring City that provides veterans and their spouses quality service. This position supervises timekeepers and assists with a variety of human resource functions at the veterans' center. DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this position, your duties include supervising a small staff engaged in timekeeping activities for the center. You function as the time advisor for the facility by reviewing timekeeping procedures with payroll staff, working with staff to resolve issues brought forward as payroll errors, providing training to supervisory staff for leave program recommendations, and discussing leave usage with employees if a negative balance appears.

Duties also include recruitment and placement work. This includes fielding calls from candidates regarding questions, preparing interview notices, and ensuring supervisors are following the proper interviewing procedures and techniques. Also, you prepare requests to fill vacant positions, prepare job postings, and prepare hiring justifications required for bureau of talent and acquisition positions. In addition, you prepare internal shift bid announcements and ensure the language follows merit-covered, non-merit covered, and union requirements. Other recruitment duties include maintaining various spreadsheets, maintaining various files, and attending job fairs.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. One year of experience as a Human Resource Assistant 1;or Two years of clerical or other comparable experience, one year of which involved performance of limited technical duties in the field of human resource work;or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Other Requirements:
