DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner, you will provide primary care and education to residents at the Southeastern Veterans' Center. This includes, but is not limited to, medical diagnosis, treatment or prescription of medical therapeutics or corrective measures in collaboration with and under the direction of a licensed physician.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 1st shift (8:00 AM to 4:30 PM), Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. May change based on operational needs.
  • Shifts are 8 or 10-hours, flexible.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Special Requirement:

  • Possession of a valid certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

Post Employment Requirement:

  • This position is requires candidates to obtain and maintain valid CRNP Prescriptive Authority Approval to prescribe and dispense drugs as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • A conditional offer of employment will require satisfactory completion of a medical examination and drug screening.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
