Transit Security Officer - Now Hiring!
Location: Spokane, WA
Our Public Transportation Security Officer is responsible for providing security and protection by actively monitoring assigned areas of the property. They conduct routine foot patrols of the property, to prevent theft and vandalism, and monitor for unauthorized and suspicious activities. They also Intercede with patrons who fail to comply with the law and/or rules and policies of the client; explain rules and policies to patrons; solicit patron cooperation and compliance; enforce correction of infractions through verbal warning, and de-escalate sensitive situations.
These positions are customer service based, require excellent communication skills, as well as critical thinking with the ability to intervene and deescalate. Applicants must be comfortable with hands-on ability and working with the public. To ensure success in this role, the ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate professionalism while still enforcing the security and safety rules of the client site they are protecting. 2 years minimum of related experience preferred.
