Crescent Electric Supply Co Senior Accounts Payable Specialist in Spokane, Washington

As the Senior Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for reviewing all invoices from vendors and following proper methods and procedures to ensure they are paid in a timely manner. In this role, you will clearly communicate with external vendors and internal managers regarding all aspects of the accounts payable process. PRIMARY DUTIES: Assists in training of new employees for Accounts Payable. Receives and reviews payables invoices after ascertaining their accuracy. Performs data entry of payables information and work queues to complete payment of invoices, including updating vendor maintenance records. Build strong professional relationships with internal customers and vendors to provide superior customer service. Contacts vendors and branches to resolve billing discrepancies and other problems related to the delivery of goods. Audit incomplete purchase orders and reconcile vendor statements. Coordinate weekly check run, run check selection report, pull invoices, print and mail checks. Assist with answering telephone inquiries; taking messages; filing; photocopying and typing correspondence as needed. Ensure operation of equipment and call for repairs when needed. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures, and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include assisting with hiring, interviewing, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Outstanding customer service skills Computer Skills: Proficient computer skills such as Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. Working knowledge of Eclipse is preferred. Ability to use a PC, ability to work as part of a team, accuracy, computer literacy, and organizational skills are essential in this position. Knowledge of basic mathematics. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide mathematical figures.
