Description Vitalant is seeking an enthusiastic Regional Director to lead all operational activities of an assigned regional blood center. As the driving force behind our daily operations, you will champion compliance with Vitalant's policies and directives while managing all aspects of blood center operations. As a Regional Director you'll get to:

  • Lead efforts to achieve high levels of service and product quality, financial performance, and other organizational benchmarks, aligning with policies, goals, and objectives.
  • Partake and lead in community outreach initiatives to assist in securing events.
  • Ensure strict adherence to regulatory standards, policies, and procedures at the regional center, including effective management of deviations and timely implementation of corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with staff and business leaders to identify strategies for enhancing efficiency, improving working conditions, enhancing customer satisfaction, and resolving conflicts.
  • Ensure the regional center operates in adherence to all regulatory standards, polices and procedures, including effective deviation management and timely corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with staff and business leaders to seek strategies that improve efficiency, working conditions, customer satisfaction, and resolve conflicts.
  • Ensure division management is responsive to local needs of donors and customers and recommend actions to improve existing services.
  • Represents business unit in enterprise functional council meetings, projects, and initiatives.
  • Participate in annual budget preparation and ensure adherence to approved department budget.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Eight years of related experience required to include:
    • Five years of leadership experience
  • Previous blood center or healthcare industry experience preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Must be highly organized and detailed oriented.
  • Must be able to prioritize workload priorities.
  • Must have a participative management style, coaching skills and ability to motivate managers.
  • Must have proficient computer skills.
