Humanix Painter in Spokane, Washington

This local Spokane WA steel manufacturing company is urgently looking to hire an experienced Painter for their team. Compensation for the Painter

 

  • $18 - $24 Per Hour DOE
  • Monday through Friday, 5 am - 3:30 pm. A 50 hour work week = built in overtime!

Responsibilities for the Painter

 

  • Perform skilled painting in a production environment
  • Set up paint jobs from start to finish including washing, masking, and painting, to ensure all paint finishes meet or exceed customer requirements
  • Handle all hazardous materials properly
  • Mix coatings and tip paint guns
  • Responsible for staging and masking material to be painted in accordance with blueprints, plans, and drawings
  • Spray all standard primers, mid-coats, and basic top-coats using Airless and HVLP pumps as well as inspecting parts using and interpreting inspection equipment, such as anchor profile gauges, dry film thickness gauges to verify finish requirements are met
  • Other duties as assigned

     

Requirements for the Painter

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 - 3 Years experience doing paint prep or painting required
  • Experience in forklift operation and overhead crane operation
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints (shop drawings)
  • Must have working knowledge of liquid measurements (pint, ounce, quart, gallon, etc.)
  • Must be able to understand and convert percentages.
  • Must be able to mix and apply chemical paints using 2 and 3 part coatings (epoxy and urethane)
  • Must be safety oriented and must wear all the required PPE
  • Physical requirements: ability to drag heavy hose around shop safely, lift up to 60 lbs. and anything over 60 lbs. team lift or use a lifting device
