Aero-Flite, Inc. Inventory Specialist - 107 in Spokane, Washington

The mission of Aero-Flite is to provide exceptional firefighting aircraft and customer service in support of our ground firefighting partners. Our vision is to continually strive to improve our safety and service while offering greater value to our partner agencies. Summary Reporting to the Director of Materials, the Inventory Specialist will assist in daily operations of the Materials department. Assist Materials department to ensure inventory is available when needed in support of aircraft maintenance activities within the hangar and while deployed to field locations. Specific Responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Assist Director of Materials in daily operations.
  • Have a working knowledge of the stores department inventory.
  • Order and maintain a working stock of inventory.
  • Daily oversight of parts cage, tracking parts and items for check out/check in.
  • Demonstrate required computer and language skills to accomplish day-to-day tasks.
  • Demonstrate physical ability for heavy lifting.
  • Display skills for operation of AFI maintenance equipment.
  • Check and maintain satellite storage hangars.
  • Ensure calculations, quantities and part serial numbers correct when entering or pulling inventory.
  • Ensure all discrepancies are accounted for and appropriately documented.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Exceptional ability to communicate and convey information, inter/ intradepartmental, via multiple mediums.
  • Proactive ability and desire to problem solve in a dynamic environment.
  • Superior customer relationship management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters.
  • Determining causes of errors and deciding what to do about it. Use logic and reasoning to identify solutions.

Education and Experience Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prefer knowledge of U.S. standard sizing hardware fasteners
  • Must be able to effectively use software programs to include Microsoft Office and proprietary enterprise resource planning ERP system.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Associate's degree in a related field, and
  • One year of experience, OR
  • Two years of directly related experience

Work Environment

  • This job operates in an office and hangar environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually at a typical office level and while in the hangar with frequent periods of moderately loud noises. Exposure to industrial chemical smells, fragrances, animals, etc. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme outside weather conditions.
