Robert Half Billing Specialist in Spokane, Washington

Description

We are searching for a dedicated Billing Clerk to join our team in Spokane, Washington. The role involves handling billing activities, ensuring that clients are billed in a timely manner, and making sure that payments are received promptly. The successful candidate will also be responsible for coordinating with various stakeholders, ensuring that projects are billed appropriately, and maintaining detailed records of transactions.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with key team members regarding contract documents, change orders, approvals, and any additional services related to billing.

• Review preliminary invoices for appropriate labor, expense charges, billing rates, fee maximums, and make appropriate changes as required.

• Issue client invoices in a timely manner and process incoming payments.

• Set up and maintain projects in appropriate software systems with correct billing rates, consultant fees, and phases as identified in client and consultant contracts.

• Process consultant invoices and coordinate payments per project contract and schedule.

• Handle vendor invoices, credit card payments, and other expenses.

• Ensure that contract documents in project folders are complete and up-to-date.

• Prepare weekly billing, receivables, and aging reports.

• Utilize accounting software systems, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office Suites to perform accounting and billing functions.

• Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and work in progress.

SALARY RANGE: 50-56k

    Requirements • Familiarity with Accounting Software Systems

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Microsoft Office Suites

• Understanding of Accounting Functions

• Knowledge of Billing Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Familiarity with WIP - Work In Progress

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Problem-solving abilities and analytical skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is a plus

• Prior experience in a similar role is preferred.
