The Opportunity The Washington Logistics Area Manager, based in Tacoma or Spokane, Washington, will oversee the day-to-day operations of our pipeline and terminal facilities in the Pacific Northwest region. This role demands strategic planning, operational management, team leadership, safety compliance, and stakeholder engagement to ensure the efficient and compliant operation of our assets. This position will report into the VP of Pipeline and Terminals for Par Logistics organization. Key activities include: Operational Oversight: Ensure the smooth operation of pipelines and terminals within the region, overseeing maintenance, repair, and operational activities to align with company standards and regulatory compliance Safety and Compliance: Promote a safety-first culture across all operations, adhering to both state and federal regulations, including environmental and safety standards Team Leadership and Development: Lead a team of professionals, fostering motivation and growth; this includes managing recruitment, training, and performance evaluations to build a skilled and engaged workforce Strategic Planning: Formulate strategies to boost operational efficiency, cut costs, and elevate service quality Financial Management: Manage the budget and finances of operations in the region, focusing on cost-effective resource use and financial prudence Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with the local community, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders; act as a company representative in various settings to forge robust relationships Emergency Response Management: Oversee and coordinate response actions during emergencies, ensuring preparedness and adherence to emergency protocols Reporting and Documentation: Keep precise records and reports on operational activities, compliance, and performance metrics, ensuring transparency and accountability Note: This description is intended to give you a general overview of the position, additional responsibilities and opportunities may be identified based on current business needs.
