Position Overview
At Polaris / Indian Motorcycle, we are looking for a Quality Engineer to join our high-performing team at the Spirit Lake, IA assembly plant. In this role, you will lead a dedicated team supporting the production line for our iconic Indian Chief Motorcycle. You'll ensure top-notch quality standards and drive continuous improvement in our manufacturing processes. Join us and be part of a legacy that celebrates innovation and excellence!
Key Responsibilities
Lead the quality initiatives for an Indian Motorcycle production line, ensuring daily and long-term goals are met.
Supervise a small team of (4) quality personnel, guiding and supporting their development.
Maintain and enhance the manufacturing quality system to uphold our high standards.
Serve as the frontline liaison to production supervisors and staff, conducting troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
Review and communicate performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
Assist in specifying inspection, testing mechanisms, and equipment to maintain quality assurance.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Production teams to ensure the successful launch of new motorcycle platforms.
Participate in design reviews and identify significant and critical features on blueprints.
Establish and document critical assembly component criteria and process control information.

Qualifications
BS degree in Engineering OR degree in a different field with at least one year of manufacturing production experience.
Preferred experience in Quality Control.
Proficiency in reading blueprints.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Excellent customer service, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency.
