JOB REQUIREMENTS: Civil Construction Quality Control Specialist Job Overview: Job Title: Civil Construction Quality Control Specialist \| Fort McCoy, Wisconsin Location: Transient/Travel Required Job Type: Salaried, Full Time Work Schedule: Monday-Saturday Performance Evaluated by: Project Manager and/or Director of Quality Control Purpose: Quality control is a preventative process to which emphasis should be placed on confirming clear understanding and contract compliance are in place before beginning production. The Civil Quality Control Specialist should promote and manage quality control as it relates to civil construction to ensure that all construction activities meet or exceed the requirements found in the project plans and specifications. Generate and perform Initial and Follow-up inspections for all designated scopes of work to guide self-performance crews and subcontractors in their daily construction activities. Essential Responsibilities and Duties: RC will gladly provide reasonable accommodation to assist in performing these essential job functions so long as it does not create an undue burden. Perform two types of inspections Initial and Follow-up for all scopes of work associated with the civil construction: Initial - Ensure all safety and installation procedures are being performed to the quality level stated at the preparatory meeting and in compliance with all contract documents. This inspection should take place within 24 hours of the work commencing. Follow-up - Subsequent inspection to ensure that the work is being performed to the quality level stated at the preparatory meeting and in compliance with all contract documents. These inspections should be more frequent if there is a concern regarding the quality of work. Review submitted items to determine compliance with all contract documents prior to submitting for approval. Monitor and update the Testing Plan to ensure all required testing, including frequency, is being performed for each civil specification section listed in the project documents. Produce daily report for notable observations, including subcontractors on site, QC inspections, tests, person-hours, and equipment hours, utilizing Procore tools such as Photos, Daily Log, Observations, and Inspections. Compile and review civil subcontractor daily reports to ensure logged activities meet requirements covered during three-phase inspections.
