Summer Camp & Youth Activities Supervisor

We are about 40 miles away from Bozeman, Belgrade, and West Yellowstone, MT.

JOB OVERVIEW:

The Supervisor, Summer Camp Youth Activities Counselor will be accountable for overseeing the daily tasks associated with and the associates working as Youth Activity Attendants in the Summer Camp children’s programming. The Camp Counselor Supervisor will be accountable to ensure the safety and accuracy of the daily tasks associated with on property day-camps, weeklong adventure camps, the weekend children’s programming, and maintaining proper record keeping.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS , Job duties include; although are not limited to:

· Knowledge of, or an ability to learn, outdoor adventure activities and craft programming for kids ages 5-15

· Ability to create and lead age-appropriate games and activities for all ages.

· Enjoys thinking of new ideas; is creative and resourceful.

· Ability to interact positively with children ages 5-15 Years Old for full day, high energy programs.

· Ability to think independently and creatively regarding Summer Camp operations and activities.

· Support children's emotional growth through programming

· Ability to ensure that the safety, security, privacy, and confidentiality of all children in accordance with club standards is of utmost importance.

· Responsible for scheduling Youth Activity Associates.

· Develop and implement exceptional Youth Adventure programming.

· Overseeing department cleanliness and department organization.

· Ensure all child safety standards are met.

· This person will be able to train associates.

· Work with adult and child guests and members on a regular basis.

· Ability to create activities for all ages.

· Ability to promote a positive image and display a pleasant and upbeat personality during all guest interactions.

· Group management skills with different age groups.

· Provide support to other departments during special events.

· Self-starter; able to carry out diverse duties with minimal supervision.

· Have a vast array of knowledge about recreational activities applicable to the area.

· Driving Company Equipment including (but not limited to) ATV’s, Side by Sides, Snowmobiles, company vehicles and other machinery as required.

· Maintain industry standards for safety, risk management and emergency action specific to outdoor activities.

· Competent handling of member and guest feedback in a professional manner.

· Ability to coordinate with other departments.

· Other duties as assigned by Youth & Outdoor Adventures Director and/or Manager.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

· High Diploma or equivalent.

· Prior supervisor/manager experience preferred.

· Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Fluency in English.

· Current Pediatric First Aid/AED/CPR certification from an accredited institution is required. This certification can be provided as needed.

· Prior Summer Camp or childcare experience preferred.

· Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.

· Must have a valid U.S. Driver’s License with a good/clean record.

· Highly organized and flexible.

· Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and relate to people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

· Always maintain a professional demeanor.

· Knowledge of hotel, resort and/or club operations preferred

· Must be organized and able to effectively supervise a team of associates.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of the job, the Child Care Attendant Supervisor is required to stand, walk, handle or feel objects, stoop bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, reach with hands and arms and occasionally required to climb or balance. The associate must regularly lift and or move up to 10 pounds and sometimes lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. In addition, this individual will need to participate and supervise physical and active games with children. Some activities will require working outdoors in inclement weather.
