Mountainland Technical College Nail Technician Instructor - PT in Spanish Fork, Utah

MOUNTAINLAND TECHNICAL COLLEGE

NAIL TECHNICIAN INSTRUCTOR

Location: Spanish Fork, UT

Status: Part-Time / Non Exempt

Hours: Varied weekdays, some Saturdays

Pay / Salary: $ 23.38/ Hourly

BENEFITS:

Part-time employees averaging 15 hours / week over 3+ months of employment could be eligible for our MTECH tuition waiver.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities of the Nail Technician Instructor include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide effective instruction and facilitate student learning for the program.

  • Work with other faculty and administrators to build and/or maintain curriculum with clear learning objectives. This includes textbook and software selection.

  • Develop and/or maintain lesson plans and supplemental instructional materials for classroom and lab activities

  • Schedule, supervise, debrief, and evaluate students in lab, clinical, externship, or other work-based learning activities

  • Mentor students, providing regular feedback on progress, with the central goal of the program being student success. This includes completion of the program, successfully passing any required licensure or certification tests, and placement in related employment.

  • Update Northstar with progress, rolls, and academic improvement plans as required

  • Utilize the Learning Management System and orient new students to it.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required

  • Graduation from an accredited Cosmetology School or Apprenticeship

  • Valid Utah State Cosmetology Instructor's License

  • Minimum three years' industry experience is required

  • Prior teaching experience is preferred

  • Knowledge of instructional strategies and techniques;
