Field Services Representative I Installed Support Puget Sound WA Windows - 1331 208th St E (98374), 1331 208th St E, Spanaway, Washington, United States of America Req #36043 Wednesday, February 21, 2024 Position Summary: Windows Field Service Technician performs in-field repairs and adjustments on window and door products. Provide technical feedback on product performance and deficiencies. Communicates with contractor and homeowners on the status of specific services issues. This position requires independent judgment, problem solving ability, keen observation skills. The required problem-solving skills demand prompt action in making craftsman-like repairs or product replacements for customer satisfaction. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in the position. Internal contacts will be all levels of employees. External contacts are homeowners and contractors. Applicant will preferably have glass glazing experience. Equipment and Tools Provided. What You'll Do: Take measurements accurately and fill out paperwork correctly. Provide quality service visits to customers to inspect, repair and/or adjust a variety of windows and doors in the field. Diagnose product issues in the field, determine and perform the correct resolution, and communicate accordingly with customers and internal service team. Carry out residential glass installation and repair, including insulated glass replacement, & screens. Communicate effectively and professionally with customers. Follow safety procedures and able to operate power tools, ladders and other equipment. Conducts any necessary follow up service work and communication to resolve all assigned service tickets. Performs job site walk-through and completes necessary documentation. Maintains stock of all necessary parts and equipment on a weekly basis. Drive company vehicle and follow state law and company policies. Independent judgment, problem solving ability, keen observation skills and effective responsibility assumption. Qualifications: Compute basic math problems to include fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Must be able to interact with customers and contractors in a professional manner. Good hand-eye coordination and the ability to discern colors. Ability to work in and promote a team environment. Ability to independently problem solve and make recommendations for resolutions. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Prolonged standing and sitting. Repetitive motions, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling. Detail oriented. Must have a valid in state driver's license with a good record. Willing and able to work up ladders up to 40'. Excellent verbal and written English language skills. 1-2 years fenestration manufacturing or installation experience preferred or 1-2 years general construction. In addition to the base wage listed, team members are also eligible to earn an additional incentive subject to changes in plan design and documents and in accordance with applicable law.
