WHAT YOU WILL DO

You will be part of our awesome Software Development Team that helps us with the Front End development of our multi-site platform, while being an operational enabler for the rest of the organization. As a Front End Engineer, you will be responsible for contribute to designing the architecture of our Front-end Coverwallet Products and participate in code reviews, identify and apply best practices for software development, as well as provide technical guidance and hands-on experience in software development. Mentor other junior engineers.

A TYPICAL DAY

• Planning and developing front-end features with your team.

• Working with the UX and Product teams in the Discovery process to develop world-class solutions.

• Working to improve UI performance, scalability, maintainability in a new product that is using a modern tech stack including Apollo GraphQL, React.js, Next.js, and Nest.js.

• Working with your teammates to define and implement architectural best practices.

• Working with your team to continuously improve processes so that we can focus our time on building great software and not dealing with interruptions, excessive planning meetings, etc.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

• 3 to 5 years as a Front End Engineer working in infrastructure and software engineering environments

• From static design to Production running code

• Demonstrated UI design and UX sensibilities

• Responsive design, mobile-first

• JavaScript & React coder

• SEO techniques awareness

• Cross-browser compatibility issues knowledge, client-side performance

• Other JS libraries are a plus

• Strong Computer Science fundamentals

• Familiarity with MVC Ruby on Rails web framework or others

• Team player, really motivated with technical challenges

• Time management skills

• Open contributor, collaborator and team player

• Autonomous learner

• Proactive on taking ownership

• English proficiency is a must

ABOUT THE RECRUITMENT PROCESS

• Your first contact with CoverWallet will be through an HR interview with one of our colleagues from the Talent Acquisition area, who will tell you everything about our company and its history, as well as the details of the position, functions and your future conditions. We would love to know your professional and academic career, and of course, your motivations and expectations for a new professional project. We will be happy to answer all your questions!

• Do we have a match? Let’s move on to your First Technical Interview! You will meet two of your future colleagues from the Software Development area, who will explain to you in more detail what the team's day-to-day life is and its responsibilities. They will be very interested in expanding information about their experience in the world of Front End technologies and your coding expertise.

• If everything has gone well and you have impressed our colleagues... we advance to the Second Technical Interview! In line with the previous one, you will meet two other members of the Software Development Team, who will continue to deepen your knowledge at the areas they could assess during the first interview.

• If you've made it this far, things are getting interesting... It's time for your Final Interview! In this case, you will have the opportunity to meet one of our VP of Engineering, who will close the selection process with an interview aimed at getting to know you not only on a professional and technical level, but also on a personal level, so that both of you can reach the conclusion of whether the purpose of our project fits with your professional aspirations.
