Adecco US, Inc. Machine Mechanic - 3rd Shift in Southington, Connecticut

Adecco is hiring Technicians/Machine Mechanics to work 3rd Shift 10:45p-7:15a; Sun-Thurs and OT as needed for our client located in Southington, CT. This is a long term opportunity and payrate is $25/hr.

Applicants should be mechanically inclined, experienced in dealing with machine troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance. High School diploma or GED required.

Previous vocational schooling or work experience in similar fields may include but not limited to: auto mechanic, auto technician experience, HVAC, etc.

Job Duties Production Machine Maintenance Mechanic ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions, clear jams, and work independently to resolve complex mechanical issues in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

Technical Knowledge and Skills

· High School Diploma or GED

•Strong verbal and written communication skills.

•1 - 2 years of manufacturing experience. Previous experience with automated and semi-automated equipment.

•Understanding of computers and computerized controls.

•Recurring physical demands include standing, stooping, crouching, climbing, bilateral motion involving hands, wrists and upper body. Concentrated visual checks on product and components. Use of tools. Lifting 35 lbs. or less and pushing 80 lbs. or less.

Responsibilities:

•Set-up, change over and PM of equipment.

•Troubleshooting, repair and rebuild.

•Material disposition and handling.

•Machine and process operation.

•Operational data collection (downtime, waste & quality).

•Responsible for training of new employees, work flow, production, and answering job-related questions.

•Performing all functions of a Team Operator when required.
