District Manager

Position Profile

Drives, leads and develops a sales team of Account Mgrs. to demonstrate customer minded and consultative selling competencies in the sales District. Coaches team to leverage business, account planning, pipeline and opportunity management to achieve objectives. Responsible for driving results through new business development and the expansion of services across customer base. Manages and adjusts to the business conditions based on the proactive management of the P/L of the district.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for driving a sales team to execute on Ricoh's Equipment and Services Strategy, capabilities, standards and actions.

  • Responsible for profitable equipment and services growth for assigned accounts, including contract retention and expansion, and addition of services.

  • Responsible for New Business Development with focus on Ricoh's hardware and market based services portfolio.

  • Responsible for driving market share with Ricoh's services portfolio, championing and driving new services as added to the portfolio

  • Hold Account Managers accountable to drive sales activities, achieve specific KPIs and close deals at the client level resulting in deeper penetration into the account.

  • Set Clear expectations by creating rigor and routine and inspecting activity that supports the sales objectives.

  • Collaborates with internal resources to align activities, support and talent to deliver sales.

  • Actively engages peers and specialty areas to address issues or to develop stronger processes for driving growth.

  • Coaches and develops talent.

  • Assesses talent and identifies strengths and weakness.

  • Coach Account Managers through the defined selling methodology ensuring they grasp the fundamentals and hones their abilities to meet high standards.

  • Create development plans with Account Managers to continually challenge them to raise the bar.

  • Engages proactively to achieve company financial targets.

  • Manages the business by execution of KPI

  • Drives GP through all lines of the business

  • Reviews and Adjusts to the needs of business based on the District P/L

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Certifications)

Typically Required:

· Bachelor degree required or equivalent experience in related field.

· 7+ years experience selling products and services.

· 5+ years sales management experience.

· Consultative / Sales experience.

· Industry experience preferred.

· P/L Knowledge and understanding

Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Demands

  • Typically works in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level.

  • Work has cyclical stress due to frequent goals and deadlines, and daily stress due to the responsibility associated with the incumbents' decisions, outcomes and potential outcomes.

  • Work is mostly sedentary, but does require walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting or carrying objects that typically weight less than 10 lbs. (e.g., papers, books, files and small parts, etc.).

  • Requires moderate dexterity; regular application of basic skills (calculator, keyboard, hand tools, etc.).

· Requires periodic customer site visits whose locations may or may not be serviced by public transportation.
