Position: Assessment &Talent Insights Senior Specialist (VP, CS) in Southfield, MI.

 

Duties: Providing individual and team coaching for employees. Conducting structured behavioral interviews of candidates across levels, exploring past behaviors, and probing for additional evidence and context to support claims. Interpreting and summarizing candidate assessment results into accurate, articulate, well integrated reports. Communicating hiring recommendations, risks, and action steps to leadership sensitively, both verbally and in written form. Partnering with talent acquisition, hiring managers, business partners, and firm leaders to inform hiring decisions and assisting in related activities (e.g., conducting needs analyses, analyzing job requirements, and linking to candidate results verbally and in written form.) Providing developmental, actionable assessment insights directly to candidates and new hires as part of the onboarding and acclimation experience. Taking initiative to identify and participate in continuous improvement internal projects within the Assessment team. Assisting in the design and delivery of Occupational Development solutions from a psychological and assessment expertise lens. Managing and securing highly confidential, sensitive data. Collecting, cleaning, and analyzing data to support People Team initiatives. Validating assessment instruments and usage through predictive modelling. Supporting ad-hoc requests from the business to provide evidence-based suggestions. Telecommuting permitted within MSA.

 

Requires a Master's degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, or a related field plus 1 year of experience in organizational development or assessment development.

 

Requires any amount of experience in each of the following skills:

  • Interpreting a battery of cognitive and personality assessments for hiring and development purposes, including experience with the following tools: Occupational Personality Questionnaire(SHL), Verify or G+ Cognitive assessments (SHL), and the Personality Pattern Inventory (Kahler Communications/PCM)
  • Validating assessment instruments and proper usage through predictive modeling and related statistical methods, leveraging experience with statistical software including SPSS and R
  • Independently designing and carrying out research team-based and culture-focused projects, including the development of surveys, management of project scope and timelines, collection of data, cleaning and analyzing data, and communication of insights from research findings to stakeholders
  • Conducting structured behavioral interviews of candidates across levels, examining the link between past behaviors and the prediction of future behavior
  • Engaging in crucial conversations around assessment insights, often directly and in high-stakes situations, with key executives, business partners, and former candidates; this includes presenting findings, influencing decision-makers to drive business outcomes
