Description

Environmental Tectonics Corporation, a growing, dynamic US Company located just outside of Philadelphia, PA is seeking a Technical Publications Writer to support ongoing custom design engineering projects. The successful candidate will develop, write and edit material for reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books, catalogs and related technical and administrative publications. The successful applicant will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Business Administration, Engineering or similar experience.

  • 3 or more years’ experience with proposal writing. Should have strong technical writing and editing skills to include writing proposals for custom capital equipment.

  • Should be deadline driven and highly organized

  • The ability to collect business requirements and translate them into a thorough proposal/contract summary.

  • Time management, including the ability to organize and prioritize work to meet the needs of the organization.

  • Ability to exercise discretion and judgment discussing business.

  • Attention to detail and thoroughness are essential.

  • High proficiency in using Microsoft Suite of products

  • Ability to work independently on multiple high priority tasks and work well in a fast paced environment.

    Your duties will be to:

  • Manage RFP response process for business unit including writing, editing, assembling final proposal and distribution to customer.

  • Works closely with other departments to obtain necessary information for proposal preparation

  • Assists in writing/editing of other marketing content including brochures/datasheets, website, press releases, etc. Integrates technical information into a professionally written technical proposal.

  • Ensure all approvals are in place for initial contract drafting and any subsequent changes

  • Verify all aspects of proposals including scope of services to ensure conformance with company policy while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction and responsiveness.

  • Interview production and engineering personnel and read journals, reports and other material to become familiar with product technologies and production methods.
