We are recruiting for a Head of Materials and Logistic Services role within our Rolling Stock Customer Services business. Within this strategic role, you will manage the full engagement and delivery of all materials and logistics service operations across the Customer Services business in every maintenance or production environment, working closely with local operations teams to support effective and efficient delivery whilst boosting productivity and identify key areas for improvement.
This is a remote hybrid role with an expectation for significant travel across various Rolling Stock locations within the UK.
You’ll make an impact by
Ensuring all depot operations receive the necessary level of service to uphold train availability demands through regular engagement reviews and accurate reporting
Tactically managing and maintaining service level agreements between central warehousing and depot operations, guaranteeing full compliance to policies and procedures
Implementing robust depot logistics systems to ensure cost effective compliance with defined transportation policies for both routine and emergency operations
Designing and implementing standard processes and policies across all front line operations
Ensuring accurate reporting on service level performance across depot operations on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
Implementing a Continuous Improvement culture whilst continuously developing cross functional and departmental processes, challenging these to improve the services we provide

Detailed knowledge of materials management and supply chain processes
Thorough knowledge and experience of logistics systems including import and export controls
Thorough knowledge and experience of Operations or Contractual management
Understanding and experience of delivering best in class Customer Service management
Experience of delivering change management or lean processes
Great reporting, presenting and analytical skills
