Description We are offering a unique opportunity for a role based in South San Francisco, California, in the telecom industry. The role is a Technical Writer, focusing on creating, editing, and designing instructional documentation. This role is a contract-based opportunity, offering the chance to work within a dynamic environment and contribute to the team's success.

Responsibilities:

• Draft, revise, and edit technical documentation and user guides.

• Collaborate with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of product and documentation requirements.

• Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience.

• Create easy-to-understand user interface text, online help, and developer guides.

• Design and establish style guidelines and standards for texts and illustrations to meet business needs.

• Use photographs, drawings, diagrams, and charts to increase users' understanding.

• Maintain a comprehensive library of technical terminology and documentation.

• Analyze documents to maintain continuity of style and content.

• Manage updates and revisions to technical literature.

• Research and build knowledge about products, services, technology, or concepts to be documented. Requirements • Proven experience as a Technical Writer or similar role within the industry

• Proficiency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong ability to explain complex information in a clear and concise manner

• Exceptional attention to detail

• Proficiency in using software tools to create, manage and deliver documentation

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent preferred

• Knowledge of the software development life cycle is desirable

• Prior experience in producing user guides, online help, white papers, design specifications, system manuals, and other technical documents is beneficial

• Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and images
