Adecco US, Inc. Engineering Technician in South San Francisco, California

Job Summary: An Engineering Technician will assist engineers and scientists in creating new or updating electronic systems for genetic analysis instruments. They will set up devices, troubleshoot issues, perform repairs on circuitry malfunctions and assist in design schematics for printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs).

Skill Requirements :

  • PCB rework experience including hand soldering surface mount components.

  • Ability to perform crimping connector terminals.

  • Experience with wiring routing in instruments and creating wire harnesses from scratch.

  • Proficiency in using a multimeter and an oscilloscope for troubleshooting PCBAs.

  • Familiarity with MS Office software such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Experience with a business spend management tool like Coupa preferred.

Skill Education

· PCB Rework : This involves repairing or modifying printed circuit boards (PCBs) which are essential parts of electronic devices.

o Surface Mount Soldering : A technique used to attach components to the surface of a printed circuit board.

o Crimping Connector Terminals : This is the process of joining electrical connectors to wires by deforming one or both of them to hold each other.

o Multimeter : An instrument used to measure electric current (amperage), voltage (voltmeter), and resistance (ohmmeter).

o Oscilloscope : An electronic test instrument that graphically displays varying signal voltages as a waveform.

o MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) : A suite of applications used for productivity purposes including word processing (Word), data manipulation in spreadsheets (Excel), and creating presentations (PowerPoint).

o Coupa : A cloud platform for business spend management that helps companies control their expenditures.
