Job Description:

Role: Federal Program Logistician Location: Salt Lake City, Utah (Required) - On-site Role - estimate at least 100% time Duration: Long-term HPE reserves the right to hire the candidate after 90 days. Please ensure candidates are willing to be hired. Please note that Salt Lake City is desired delivery location. Submit candidates at market rates for this skillset/clearance. EDUCATION AND REQUIRED SKILLS: - US Citizenship - TS/SCI Security Clearance with specific polygraph required at time of hire. - Requires at least 1.5 years' experience with C-O-C (Chain-of-Custody) processes and procedures. - 2-4 years of technical experience. - Must be comfortable working on-site M-F at customer location near Salt Lake City. - Experience as logistics coordinator. DESIRED SKILLS: - Has sufficient depth and breadth of technical knowledge to be individually responsible for the implementation of a specific deliverable. - Has ability to perform/drive resolution of problems on individual products. - Able to communicate broad and specific concepts with team and to peers. - Able to produce documentation for use by team and customer. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills. JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY: The Logistician will manage the distribution of IT parts from various vendors, ensuring that Chain-of-Custody (C-O-C) requirements are met for each order and shipment. The role requires strong communication and negotiation skills, as well as a solid understanding of supply management principles and practices. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and customer-focused, with excellent record-keeping abilities. The goal for the position is to ensure smooth operations for a variety of secure government logistical channels. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Strategically plan and manage logistics, part storage, transportation, and customer services. - Monitor quality, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs, and efficiency. - Organize part storage, manage inventory, and process shipments. - Address and resolve any issues or complaints. - Coordinate and track the shipment of final products to meet customer requirements. - Prepare accurate reports for upper management. - Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks within project delivery cycles. - Utilize broad company technology knowledge to contribute to detailed technical designs that meet customer needs. - Apply knowledge tools and reuse information to benefit projects and professional development. - Work independently and manage multiple processes effectively.
