Del Norte Harvesting First-Line Supervisors of Farming, Fishing, and Forestry Workers in South Ross Township, Illinois

Workers will provide supervision to crew members in the farm laborer/hand harvester positions, monitor workers to ensure that safety regulations are followed, warning or disciplining those who violate safety regulations. First-line supervisors have no authority to directly hire or discharge workers. However, first-line supervisors may be instructed by management to give warnings or take disciplinary action against workers not following protocols. Will oversee the quality of work performed by the workers. Workers will be responsible for providing field workers with necessary water supply, and work tools. Workers may be required to assist in the completion of the fieldwork being performed. Workers may be required to operate farm vehicles to move between field locations. Workers will be required to communicate with other supervisors and farm management to determine production requirements, conditions of equipment and supplies, and work schedules. Workers will supervise the following activities: corn detasseling, corn roguing, and corn volunteering.
