Generac Power Systems Product Engineer II in South Portland, Maine

The Product Engineer III is responsible for gaining a deep technical understanding of Generac Clean Energy products and providing a critical interface between internal R&D/engineering and product support teams. The Product Engineer will take an ownership role in understanding, recreating, and performing root cause analysis of field issues and will work with the design engineering teams to develop, specify, and test product improvements targeted at addressing field quality issues. The Product Engineer will provide key insights to help define new features and products, and play a key role in creating internal and external product documentation.
Physical Demands : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
