Situated in the beautiful mountains near Michaux State Forest, South Mountain Restoration Center is a Long-Term Care Skilled Nursing Home Facility operated by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this role, you will be responsible for the operation and inspection of the boiler plant installation at the center. You will operate all boilers and associated machinery in a safe, reliable and efficient manner and make repairs as necessary. You will also test water and add chemicals or salt as needed; keep regular records of temperatures, pressures and operating conditions; and be a lead worker over other employees in the safe operation of the plant and associated machinery.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 40 hours per week Work hours include rotating shifts and days off. 1st Shift: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM Relief Operator, which is the swing shift between 1st shift (7:00 AM to 3:00 PM), 2nd shift (3:00 PM to 11:00 PM ), and 3rd shift (11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.) Overtime as needed. This may change based on operational need. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year of experience as a Utility Plant Operator 1 (commonwealth title); or One year of semi-skilled work experience in the operation, maintenance, or repair of industrial, commercial, or institutional utility plant systems and related equipment; or An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes six months of semi-skilled work experience in the operation, maintenance, or repair of industrial, commercial, or institutional utility plant systems and related equipment.

Special Requirement:

This position requires possession of a valid Class C driver's license. Other Requirements: You must meet the PA residency requirement.
