South Mountain Restoration Center, a long-term care skilled nursing home facility operated by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to join their amazing team. If you have knowledge of and experience in the modern methods, materials, practices, and procedures used in food preparation, production, and service, this may be the job for you!

DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Food Service Supervisor, you supervise, coordinate, inspect, and evaluate food service work performed in multiple service areas by daily on-site observation to ensure residents receive food of optimum quality, served at proper temperatures, and under safe, clean, and sanitary conditions. In this role, you will train and supervise cooks and other food service workers, monitor working conditions and reconcile employee complaints or concerns. You will prepare and maintain personnel records such as time schedules, attendance, and performance evaluations. In addition, you will be in charge of requisitioning, receiving and inspecting food supplies and equipment, and preparing and maintaining records and reports.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Hours of work: Swing shift between 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM and 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with 30-minute lunch Rotating on and off duty days, including weekends and holidays Overtime: As needed May change based on operational needs. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Three years of paid experience in food production and/or service and successful completion of a Certified Dietary Manager course; or

Two years as a Food Service Worker and/or production experience, and an Associate degree with major course work in food production and food service; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training which consists of experience in an institutional setting preparing specialized therapeutic diets, or course work in food production, food service or a related field.
