The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is seeking a *Manager on Duty *to join our team! * *

The YMCA* *focuses on empowering people in all forms, by improving health and well-being and inspiring action in and across our neighborhoods. 

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading non-profit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. 

As the Manager on Duty, you will oversee branch operations and administration by ensuring staff and members are in compliance with all YMCA policies and practices, supervising branch staff, and responding to emergencies and member incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Open and/or close the facility following proper procedures.
  • Do facility walk-throughs during your shift.
  • Support the Membership desk and Welcome Center.
  • Build relationships with Members.
  • Be the first responder to emergencies and incidents.
  • Ensure safety and cleanliness standards are being maintained.

``` - Positive attitude and previous experience with and diverse populations. - Demonstrated maturity, sound judgment and decision making skills. - Relevant knowledge and experience, especially in a supervisory and/or leadership capacity is preferred. - A Current CPR for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid, AED, and Oxygen (preferred). Must be willing to obtain within 30 days of employment. - Must possess or obtain (prior to hire), and maintain YMCA Lifeguarding or Red Cross Lifeguarding certification.  - Able and willing to complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on the first day, and other online and in-person training as required.

 

*Wages: *$20.00 to $22.00 per hour, depending on qualifications

*Hours:  *Part-Time, Up to 25 hours per week

*Location: *Mel Korum Family YMCA, Puyallup, WA

Schedule Details: Evening and weekend availability - required
